Asylum - Part 2

Staring blankly into memories
Of what has brought me here
Shows that others find disturbing
What I know to be sincere
With her hands down my pants
Oh, but wait, that's just me
Like that time I was in her car and she called the police
It wasn't of her fancy to quite meet me that way
I'd been waiting there all night
And she just screamed and walked away
Unclad was I with roses, spread across the back seat
In my mind, the most romantic, luring manner to meet
But I was clearly wrong, and so perplexed, I ran away
Before anyone could find me, but I needed a place to stay
The woods behind her lot was sure a scanty getaway
That wouldn't satisfy for long as the chase had no delay
So I made my way around the side
Where the wood brought me along
To a window of the basement
Through which many nights I'd gone
And of that, she never knew, not of that time nor before
But I built a secret passage
Where I'd walk beneath the floor
I had taken so much comfort in the den I there designed
That I forgot where I resided, the mania no longer benign
My family reported me missing, though I did not seem to care
For the trail from my apartment would assuredly lead nowhere
The only trouble to persist was my constant crave for light
How I found I wasn't meant to stay alone and out of sight
So one morning I made breakfast
For my soon to be sweetheart
To awake her from a fine night's rest
The bacon did its part
But before I had enough time to flee
The officer opened the door
Seemed she had been up for a while
And my efforts she didn't adore
Then taken away, in my thoughts she'd stay
As I prepared for my debarment
For the time I wasted in troubles I've tasted
Much like her undergarments
