Assassin's Sacrifice

You're hurt and I just cannot say
How I regret my vicious deed.
My mind detests it, hate that day
When I spread alienation's seed.

How did I dare do it? That's insane.
Unjustifiably I stabbed your soul,
Dishallowed my memory lane
By playing mean offender's role.

I rushed into your inner world
And blew it up without intention.
You instantly forgot what I had told,
What my quivering lips had mentioned.

Those three words you used to cherish.
I crossed them out with wrong step.
Because of me your smile has perished,
Changed into pain in which you're wrapped.

I set the injured love above the chasm,
Neglected our feelings you have shrined.
Your hurt transferred to me as spasm
Disturbing my entire being, drives me blind.

“Forgive me”, I am praying to you,
Gazing in child-like, lachrymose eyes.
An ocean of agony is currently your mew,
For our love became assassin's sacrifice.
