Ashes of Roses

Where have you gone?

How much joy and scent have you given out!

Your life may be short in hours, days,

but the scent of the petals will last.

You were once young and vibrant,
soft, fresh and fragrant

But your life is short --
now you are dried and crumbled

Like our yesterday's dreams

But in life one thing is certain
memories will bring you back

Each fragrant, each petal, each soft touch will forever last

Dried Petals of Flowers

Where have you gone?
