As you open the door to my heart

I've never felt like this before
My whole body wakes
As you open the door
My heart breaks.

You are the one I was waiting for
It was your heart I wished to know
I've never wanted to let you go
It was our love I wished to grow.

If only you knew
How long I've been waiting for you
As you open the door
And walk around the floor
My heart beats so fast; I don't know where to start.

It was your body that I touched
I wanted your presence to ever last
But you've gone way too fast
I'm starting to imagine the past.

If only you knew
How many nights I spent thinking of you
As you open the door
And walk slowly to my bed
My heart suddenly soar
The clouds tears are the ones I shed.

All I've ever wanted is right here
Yet I don't know where to start
You feel so close; so near
I wish I knew how to enchant you.

If only you knew
How bad I want to hug you
As you open the door to my heart
Once again; I wish you would stay
You dry my tears away
Accidentally I hear you say:
"I love you - let me stay".

Shir Hanochi

"life isn't measured by the numbers of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away". With my poetry, I want to make more of those breathtaking moments, to put everything I feel into words and let everyone else enjoy it as well as learning from it.English is not my first language, therefore I'd like to hear any grammar or spelling mistakes. Thank you all for understanding, and enjoy reading. :) more…
