Unspoken shifts can sever
Once held bonds of endeavor
The one you love is gone

Although there is compliance
A deep felt heart alliance
Affinity, affiance
The one you love is gone

Although explicit reason
Occasioned for the season
Gives to fealty no treason
The one you love is gone

Although it's not transparent
By virtue it's inherent
Root cause is not apparent
The one you love is gone
