Another Dead Kiss

And I whispered passion's stuttered surprise
across your naked exploration's breath,
a universe of swirled vision collapsed
while curved scenes pressed desire into pages
that tomorrow would open and read with
gentle tranquillity, delicate smiles.
Exhaled sections of the present fluttered
through a fine mist and joined the past's finesse.
I saw steps that wandered into a leap,
and I followed without hesitation.

All those moons that have since swept the sky dry
are now wrapped in memory's silk casket,
I wish you'd not removed yourself from love
but sadly that was to be the truth's call.
Where are you now pops fate within cool dreams
as poetry stumbles into the depths
of wild flowered prose; unfurled words of pain.

Skin wept beauty while caresses dived down
to splashed erotic rippled sensations,
fingertips flapped vitality's laughter
as trickles of destiny roared wisdom,
waterfalls of magical scent crashed waves
against destinations while currents of
imagination edged along warm shores
where our captivation awaited us,
such wonderful emotions gathered time
and slipped us past Heaven's feathered angels.

All those wet sunsets which have come and gone
are now buried in the back of this mind,
I wish you had not vanished so quickly
but alas that was indeed the cruel way.
Where did you go sings a cold villanelle
as structured sentences hang from the bars
of another dead kiss that tortures me.
