Anonymous Society

Isolation.
Wearing headphones, listening to music at the drugstore
Trapped in a car two hours a day commuting
Food mass produced abstractly
The extinction of the small family owned farm
Overused soil, not alive, impersonal
Automated voice response telephone service
Attending church in an arena: megachurch phenomenon
Divorce! Turning fathers into uncles and uncles into fathers
Boyfriends, pretending to be a father to
a real father's children
Corporations becoming family - unstable family constantly laying off for bottom line
Friends you lose on the freeway due to
perpetual corporate reorganizations
Siblings and other family members you don't know who don't live near you
Rise in serial killers
Constant relocation - the average American moves every four years
Frayed fibers of society, unraveling
Why do we love being a number?
Where has the community gone?
God forbid a catastrophe should happen -
we have no roots.
Western Progress? or
Planned Vulnerability??
