Anger and an Ode

You disgust me

You and your husband both disgust me

but you disgust me more.

Do you know why you disgust me?

I'll tell you here and now.

it's because you sold you soul to him

with that one wedding ring.

you were once smarter and prettier that all

but you lost it.

you wanna know how you lost it?

its because you gave up your dream for this;

for a facsimile

You were meant to be more than this.

most realize this and leave, but you stay

are you afraid to go?

why do you fear?
