Anchored

My little boat,
Floating on the sea of life,
Teeters ever so slightly to the left,
Even more to the right.
Back and forth they go,
deeper and deeper they dip.
but something keeps a tight hold...
The anchor!
Oh, the anchor!!
How could I have forgotten?!?
What is it,
Oh, what is it?
What could it be?
Music!
Oh, music!
And writing!
Oh, writing!
And the places I've never been!
Oh, the places!
And things I've never done!
Oh, the things!
And the people I love!
Oh, the people!
And being alive!
Oh, the sensation!
And my thoughts!
Oh, so many!!
I'm anchored!
Thank you!
I'm alive,
Teetering,
But alive!
I have my friends!
I have my life!
Its MY life!
No one can control it!
And you know what?

I think that that's the best part.
