Always Seeking, Never to be Found Here

Always just out of reach, our next desire,
never satisfied, always wanting more...
It is the way of the mind, never complete,
walking on a rocky mountain road,
next to a path of righteousness...
We see what's right, we know what's wrong,
yet we crave, for that which is always just out of reach...
Idolatry at its best, coveting thy neighbor,
chasing the Jones's, a ocean never filled...
Like a hallowed mountain; the emptiness of a heart,
a line with a new start,
everyday anew, beginning with the morning dew...
Love; a hidden treasure, a far away star,
a dream sought after, space holding the past;
trying to wipe away what shouldnt last...
Serene love; riches of a heart,
always just out of reach, a daily search,
on a journey through the world & time,
through a kaleidoscope of hope...
Happiness completed within,
when you reach the Cross,
seeing Him dying for our loss,
ripped apart for our sin...
Seek not here what isnt to be found,
look deep down within your soul,
hold the tears from your knees on the ground,
then the heart will begin to grow whole...
People will always come & go,
more the pain, the more you know,
theres only One Ive found to be,
once blind, now I see...
Suffering, sorrow & pain in the world,
comfort found beyond this place,
far away from the human race,
where love leaves a peaceful trace...
