All I want is Freedom

All I want is freedom
The word that rings like a distant calling in my ears
Tickling my ear drums like a bright and all too sudden beam of light
Making my head turn like someone from another life is calling my name
I turn around
I take flight
Like a dove
Flying across the diamond blue waters
Far, far away from here
Looking up I see the sun
I feel the warmth on my face
The wind under me
I leave my other urges
My confusion
My desperation
The anxiety that clinged on to me like death itself gripping onto someone meant to be long, long gone
I'm long, long gone
I'm far away now
I'm free
I'm finally free
