All At Once!

A girl,
the first cried out
with delight as life slapped
her bottom with a generous
smile; wide-eyed with fresh love's delicate warmth,
this fine day would be remembered
for all the right reasons,
newborn: sweet Grace;
a girl.

A boy,
the second laughed
as air rushed through his lungs,
a brand new moment clapped surprise
while eyes stared inside shock's brilliant gaze,
what a wonderful warm package
to be delivered here;
today's promise,
a boy.

Triplets,
the third bellowed
its emergence into
hearts beating wildly with wonder,
features froze themselves; a photographic
pause, while nature giggled a girl.
'That's all folks!' spread cool wings
above round mouths,
triplets!
