Ah. To Revisit

Ah, to revisit the days:

Of playing my records on that small victrola;
Of Saturday mornings
Full of TV adventures on 3 channels;

Of outside being the place
To play and breathe and live and be;
Of swimming and splashing
In the ocean, with sand in our feet;

Of cool, fresh breezes
Sweeping inside, on a lonely summer day;
Of doing what we wanted to do,
And then going back and doing it again;

Of freedom and joy
To think and feel and smile and cry.

To go back in time,
To be there again...but, wait:

I can revisit these days
Within my mind, any time I wish,
And make them oh so perfect.
