A very good evening

It's evening time once more.
I  can smell the breez  drifting from the shore,
My thoughts fade into a  sleepy kind of calm,
As I watch the sun peaking through a  swaying palm,
I  watch the sun slowly sink then its gone,
It's darker now, I pray for the dawn,
A walk on the beach just at twilight,
Stars twinkle heaven's beauty a delight,
The ocean waves leap and caress the shore,
The sea speaks to me in a soft kind of roar.
The lights in the distance is where I'm bound,
To  home and heart where love is found.
