A Tribute to my sister in law who was a sister and friend taken by cancer

It doesn't seem like my sweet friend is really gone
taken from us all to early
beyond the clouds the stars, to home

I saw Tyra on a bike talking to my brother who was older
and had a car too
I said your gonna be in big trouble mr. She's to young for you

I ran home , on the double, I just knew
this would mean trouble

I told my daddy yes I did
bout my dear old brother flirting with this little kid

I knew it wasn't my business and I told
not because of hate
I thought he could get in trouble I told
him that's jail bait

Turns out she was a little older than I thought
and her parents knew my brother
And mama knew her mother

They dated all through high school after graduation they wed
For sickeness and in health til death do part is what
the marriage vows said

two years later they had a baby boy named Christopher lee
I was so proud for them my little nephew made
there little family complete

I want' go into all the details I know it would take to long
but one day my sis called me she found
a lump and knew something was wrong

Now whe had a appointment the very next day
for a back problem that seemed to never go away

While she was there she inquired about this and
ask the doctor about the oddness that she had found
They took the focus of her back  and sent her for test
round and a around

They found it was breast cancer I'll never forget her call
She said it's cancer they did some more test
and they said at the very least they will have to remove my breast

I tried to be encouraging and find the words to say
I said God's still on the Throne and
we all know how to pray

The operation seemed go well , was the cancer Gone
to early to tell.

Now she lost her air from the treatment that suppose to save her
from the dreaded c
she got sick and suffered so much but never compained not even to me

Now she seemed to be doing better, so the two of them made
plans to get away
I remember she called me before that day.

They got off to their selfves they needed this time
to just be together and get the c off their minds

Now at the lake on a bright glorious day
the soft breeze blowing everything going their way

she was so happy she appeared to be beaming
but then the dredded came and my brother heard her screaming

he ran to her side and on a wing and a prayer raced all those
miles to the hospital there

Now we found out the back pronlem was cancer to it had been on
her vertibrae it got it's hold and found it's home to stay

Now the cancer became the vertibrae and bursted like glass
had shattered
the pain she endured like a ship torn and battered.

More treatments in time but she didn't mind, a postive attitude
a Will to survive

She did everything those doctors told her to do
she said I'm gonna be here to see my son gradutate high school

Now cancer is like demond slithering around in our flesh it's true
quietly moving, devoring the flesh,and hiding inside until
the right time if only they knew

Now the cancer found it's way to touch her bones
she suffered great pain but she never groaned

she had it in her skull, her lungs, but she made a joke
about having lung cancer and the fact she never smoked

she made it to my naphews graduation and to see him
become a grown man
I know it's hard so hard to understand Gods plans

Now ever time she eve called me she'd leave a message it won't leave my mind. Hey this is Tyra call when you have time.

I1;45 she called me and said this is Tyra do you feel like talking
and we must've talked for hours and hours on end
How was I to know that was my last conaversation with my
sister, and best friend

the next few days for a while she held on
but God said no more suffering and his angels took her home

Tyra I want you to know you touched our life in such a special way
I honor your life here and safe us a place for well be home with you some day
