A Still Small Voice

Prophet your malaise
Rings true still today
Until the chains allay
Me in my disarray

Through the doors you've crossed
Stitched and bound a Cross
In human voice I drown-
They are all around

The weight of guilt is great
Proportioned to the state
Where I was I'm not
Vain the wars I fought

“Hosanna save!” They praise
Some to joy in my malaise
Prophet still today
The pain is all that stays.
