A State of Mind
How do I define this life of mine?
A patchwork quilt of experience and time.
Is it a bold and definite line
Drawn with a plan in mind?
Does it take turns around many bends
And hardly shows me where it ends?
It often seemed irregular and in bits,
A kind of puzzle in which no piece fits.
A maze of ins and outs, a path unlit.
Sometimes it's like a see-saw
That bounces up and down
At other times I'm self assured
With both feet on the ground.
How do I define this life of mine?
It's simply just a state of mind.
