A rose for Rose

Growing up, we were made to know that falling in love is a beautiful thing,
As if it always lead to the exchange of rings.

Now we find ourselves in the same ol' rat race, and
We discover it doesn't always lead to the gal being in an adorable white lace.

Isn't this what we thought was beautiful?
Why does it have to go in a way so pitiful?

But since we've realised it sometimes come and go fast,
We all have to enjoy it while it lasts.

And since it might not entail a beautiful gold ring like in a prose,
Then, i think, a rose will have to do for Rose.
