A River Runs Through Me
A river runs through my veins,
It's all chained to my brain,
Flowing like a flame,
It's too hard to tame,
The river that runs through me.
A river flows through my heart,
Charged with ions that part,
Into the dark parts of this heart,
There's another spark,
In this river that runs through me.
A river runs through my arms,
Charged by a heart of charms,
Ringing bells in my brain of alarms,
As the blood feeds like a farm,
In this river that runs through me.
A river runs through my legs,
Bends, borrows, and begs,
The river rushes in waves,
My muscles fill in a rage,
From the river that runs through me.
A river runs through my head,
Poisoning my mind like lead,
Then washing away what was said,
And putting the past in its stead,
By the river that runs through me.
A river runs through my mind,
Washing away all time,
Everything ever designed,
Squeezed out like a lime,
From the river that runs through me.
A river rushes through me,
Like water waves at sea,
A river runs through me,
A river runs through everybody.
