A Plea For Grace

Part the seas above my head
In straightest lines of clarity
With wandering hairs of recent dead
My mind is cloaked in enmity
Give me elbows sharp as pins
To suck the air like graves within
Show me to my longings bright
Unfettered by the faded light
Of things that will not be
If hopes alarum is a waited, watchful knell
Then wait for me, ring for me, sing to me
Wrap me in that ringing bell
And with a spill, a loving trill,
Yes, a light airy windblown pill
Shake me to the core of me,
Ignite expanse of symmetry
To foster ageless revelries of what could
Live and breath in me
