A Place to Dwell

I dwell in a perfect place,
a place where silence
is loud,
noise is constant,
doors seldom open,
nightmares never close

I live in an antiseptically clean,
yet, horrendously repulsive environment
of waste, torment, vulgarity, anger, hatred, love

I share space with no one,
pay no rent nor make repairs,
Satisfied to maintain the status quo
of my home -

I reside within myself.
