A Passion of Hope

'Tis drops of coal
springing from a furnace
or
Chipped log pieces
with charcoal pretense

The heart of man hardens
with every encounter,
and then
Dissipates during life's disasters

Hovering
Over
Possiblities of
Endurance

As the sun's horizon slowly fades;
so the night rises in gloom
to greet the gleam of shimmer
that
Only the moonlight creates.

Though the night folds
the light ascends -
there is a hovering
over of
possibilities of
endurance.

As forceful as the tidal waves
thrashing ' gainst the mountain's cliff
or
The crescendo of a tsunami rising to its peak,
so is the passion of two lovers
