A Night for Lovers

As the sun sets and the moon rises, I sit alone upon a cliff.
Looking down, I see a river raging gracefully below.
I hear the birds sing all of nature asleep with their beautiful songs.
Looking above, the stars shine brightly,
The moon glows with an awe of light.
The wind blows the sweet smell of the wild flowers.
I hear soft footsteps behind me and I see a shadow over me.
Slowly the man sits beside me.
I smile and all of the joy of the night fills me,
For this night was made for lovers.
This night, this spot was made for us.
Quietly we sit with his arms around me, my head on his shoulder.
We fade into the romance set before us.
The wind whirls around us and fills our hearts with joy and love.
The birds' songs soften and the quietness of the night sets in.
We lie back to complete the scene set before us.
With a kiss it starts again.
The moon shines bright, our bodies glowing.
With the cry of a wolf,
This night for lovers has begun!
