A New Day

Another day here without you
Not even a peep from you
As my mind wonders
My heart is feeling so blue
Don't you know what you do to me?
My heart sings when I'm around you
As the day begins with the thought
How much I truly love you
I have only seen the end of the rainbow
Where you and I start to dance
And everyone around us
Feel the love that we have
You see I have shown you what love is
Where others have failed you
I have weathered your storms
Been battered by the rain
Struck by the lighting
While you deal with your pain
My love for you still grows
More stronger for you today
Love does not just happen
It is nurtured and respected
So when the storm clears
A new day begins
My love will show you
What love should be!
While the others look on
With only disbelief
