A Mom

When I see people that I have not seen in awhile
and they ask "what do you do?"
I start to tell them, while wearing a big smile,
"You''d like to know, wouldn''t you."

Well my mornings start at 6 a.m.
My nights sometimes seem like they may never end.

I do not have a set time nor a job in or outdoors.
And not yet has one of my days been a bore.

When you''re starting to wind down and your day is at its end.
I''m on my second pot of coffee because mine has just began.

With dinner, baths, and playtime I just never seem to quiet having fun.
Yet my friends and family keep saying there''s way more to come.

I may not have a fancy desk or a big copy machine
I may not have to take notes but my work is still harder than it seems.

I have little vacation time and sick days count them out,
For it''s more important for me to be home rather than out and about.

My most important meetings are on the floor,
that is until my boss can''t take playing anymore

I love my job and I pray it never ends
by being a mom I''ve seem to have found my very best friends.
