A Loving Symbiosis

A single drop of rain
Which fell upon your cheek
Then soaked in through your skin
Was certainly unique
It surged around your blood
Permeating tissue
Entered every crevice
Assimilated you

Now everything you see
The varied sounds you hear
Your feelings and your thoughts
And all you love or fear
The laughter or distress
Whichever your fate brings
As I am in you too
I also share these things
