A lifetime of war, from the innocence lost

I stand in silence and try to find,
my soul's calmness and peace at mind.

This war I fight I pray I fare,
for within it's path is pain and dispair.

I pull from deap within my soul,
the strength I need to find control.

I feel like a ship lost at sea,
with the waves of life crashing down upon me.

I fight and I beg for my life line,
but the storm battles on within my mind.

I wait for the day and hope at best,
for the day this burden is lifted from my chest.

I wear this scar, but no one can see,
for the wound is deep from within me.

For now I keep on the path to find,
my souls calmness and peace at mind.
