A foot in mouth....

A foot in mouth was swift to make an entry
The mind just having noticed the event
Strained to dress up the tone as complimentary
And tried its hardest for the truth to bend…

Alas, the truth came out in all its glory
 Receiver had indeed discovered root
Creating bit of laughter and a story
One that the author may regret afoot…
