A Fairy Tale

Stuck inside a fairytale, I'm lost without a care,
forgotten all reality, now I'm swimming in despair.
I thought I had it all, but it was just a selfish lie,
theres no time for selfsorrow, and no tears that I can cry.
Your words come to haunt me, ringing in my ears.
dont try to cure me, heartache is still my biggest fear.
Its the perfect form of pain, the only thing thats true,
all those broken promises, I can finally see through.
I try so hard to reach, my soul thats crawling on the floor,
the taste of you is all I need, coming back for more.
I thought I was dreaming, every little thing I felt,
I knew something was wrong, in the hand I was delt.
It seems that it was true, what I thought was right,
you were only in my dreams, dreamt up every night.
