A date with Mr. Fear
We will never know
about the places we never go
We will never see the beauty
we won't let be
Our hearts will never beat
the rhythm that we seek
Whether the bear is real or
we just believe
We'll run from the woods
bypassing the majestic trees
All that is here and all that
is seen
Is seen through eyes with
filters, be they red, purple or green
Now you say I think I'll stay safe here at home
Because my heart cannot go out and roam all alone
What if it stumbles, what if it falls
then I might not be able to live or love at all
No chances will I take
No heart will I let break
No love, I think you're sweet dear
I'm staying home and watching a movie
with Mr. Fear
At least with him my heart will die slow
It won't be open to some fatal blow
Yes Mr. Fear is quite controlling
But he means well and is somewhat consoling
Love you're quite silly and don't understand
I am safe in my nest and don't need your hand
No Love, again I think you're quite sweet
But I'm going to let Mr. Fear stop my heart beat
I can't take the chance I'll put on my dancing shoes
Be all romanced, then hit with the blues
The truth is Love, to turn a new page
would have Mr. Fear all in a rage
Then again...
Maybe I don't like him after all
Maybe Love you can take me to the Ball
If Love you want to go to the dance
I'll let my heart out to take a chance
Pick me up at nine....
