A Beach So Well Designed

There upon the soft warm sand,
right at the very edge of land,
a gentle breeze cooled the heat
while soothing waves caressed our feet.

We stirred and smiled into each others eyes,
so blessed were we below those azure skies,
bodies bronzed by weeks of naturism's rules,
quite relaxed by time away from noisy fools.

We rose together and gently washed away the sand,
that caked our skin in places that were never planned,
then embraced again in the warm and easy surf,
knowing there we shared all that was truly worth,
the time of man and woman to invest in every day,
and hoping we could always feel just that way.

An island with a beach so well designed
may exist somewhere beyond our minds,
but until we can locate that special one
where we can ever rest and play upon,
still we can enter our dreamscape each night
to continue with all our passions delight.......

Dave Dunn

I have written poetry since my school days, using my pen name Rhumour and influenced by my grandfather who left us a legacy of his life story in verse. My published collection 'Rhumour Has It' is available in print and ebook formats. I find pleasure in reciting my poems for people so also record selected poems in MP3 audio for those sites that facilitate audio. I am even experimenting with video now. :) I am currently a Success Coach on a blogging site where I encourage new bloggers from many countries to aim high, and have for a long time worked with poets around the world who wished to improve their grasp of English. Some of those poets have succeeded in getting published and I continue to encourage others to progress in the same way. more…
