(Sonnet XIII) Hot Lava

I am earth and you are water
Your rivers have cut deep into my soul
forever branding me with your curves,
carving their initials upon my back
My mountains will forever be your lookout
Volcanoes erupting with red passion
invading your waters with my hot lava,
pouring the heat of my love onto your shores
Each of your rivers rush to your seas
dissolving into the mystery of your depths
never again seen as a river, but an ocean
The inferno generated by this marriage
will arouse the earth to be our witness
and learn how nature's land and water kiss
