(Brokedown) Image of a man (2)

Words don't work any more.
Life bites hard.
Try as I do to ignore what is clear,
the dark catches me.

Eyes closed to the truth.
Body broken in two.
The word won't come any more.
Deny deny deny.

Save me from falling...
it may be too late.
Fear of my own world?
How did it come to this?

Lies destroy my hope.
Cruelty prevails.
Bringing down the sky...
you leave me speechless.

Spare me your fury.
Let me be!
Love and trust held at ransom...
back and forth, alone and cold.

My image of a man has moved
from strong and true,
to a blackened version...
from you.
