(Alyac Flower), Part II

Do you see the flashing lights?
I can hear them coming....

Take her be-low!
For her own safety.
They might throw-stones!
Who are they chasing?
No one will-know!
Let's not be hasty,

Now they are coming, searching for you....

And my only thought:
PleaseDon'tLetMeGetInTrouble!
But my anxiety:
IncreasesUntilItDoubles!
All that I had sought:
CrumblesDown,AndTurnsToRubble!
And your so-called propriety:
BurstsInAir,JustLikeABubble!

Don't be afraid,
Ev'rything will be okay....

Just go with the-flow!
Don't act suspicious.
It all feels so-slow!
I'm feeling auspicious.
Don't put on a-show!
But the feeling's pernicious.

Now they are coming, searching for you....

And my only thought:
PleaseDon'tLetMeGetInTrouble!
But my anxiety:
IncreasesUntilItDoubles!
All that I had sought:
CrumblesDown,AndTurnsToRubble!
And your so-called propriety:
BurstsInAir,JustLikeABubble!

Residue,
All We need is Residue.
It's all on You,
Now that your coming to.
Don't even move.
What are you gonna do?
Tell me the truth,
Who are the Few?

Don't even say my name,
Don't even think about it....

No one will ever find out,
No one will ever know.
No one will find out,

No one will know.

I am a university student from Texas, and a bit of a closet-poet. Perhaps I should keep it in the closet, but I am interested in getting feedback on some of my poetry. Let me know what you think! I used to write a lot of poetry when I was a little kid, but eventually lost interest as I got older. I started writing poetry again as a form of art-therapy during a really hard time in my life. I like to try to experiment with different styles and strange metaphors. Understandably, this can make some of my poetry less accessible at times, but occasionally I feel like it pays off. more…
