'The Honeymoon Stage'

We've all been through it
The honeymoon stage
When nothing seems like it could go wrong

The beginning of a romance
So fresh and new
You hold hands all day.
Even if your knuckles start turning blue

Staring at each other like star-crossed lovers
People thinking you've gone insane.
I've been through it before
I'm really sure u have too
Worst feeling ever
Why can't it just stay the same?

As time goes by and you start to drift
You ask yourself is it all worth it
The hours spent on the phone
Anticipating a reply
Saying u'll love each other till you die

Your cheeks start to hurt
From all the smiling you've done
But now it's starting to fade

We've all been through it

The honeymoon stage
When nothing seems like it could go wrong
