"tender caress" a Shakespearean Sonnet #21 of #24 vol. 14

Upon greenwood Violets debonair,
a redolent cull of lilac tiara,
by her chimeric minstrel Willows care,
sought lambent eyes deb clarion teacups.

A free verse serenade upon sunset,
accompanied harps omniscient tidings,
Willows glissando harmonious fret,
pulled on affections blest by plucked heartstrings.

Upon tender caress lips of kismet crux,
Thadius interposed scilicet threat,
prolegomenon procrustean flux,
surreptitious incivility met.

Thadius chiding thick upon Willow,
with vaunt from battle deride of billow.
