"open sky"

Steven Louis Chapman

I live in a fear,
a state that she can touch,
bouncing alas fleeting,
caress smiles laughter.

Her memory is fresh,
from her fingertips fire,
sparkle with waves shimmer,
flew a heart of gold.

Ringing in my ear,
her voice soothing strife's wake,
torrents she breaks through soft,
touched by light nuance.

Cocoa is raining,
trickle of careless wish,
upon my trembling hands,
that respond quite clear.
