"non-explanatory sweetness" a Sonnet #37

Steven Louis Chapman

If I were an insoluble dart,
amass a piercing true reality,
untouched surreal oceans I would part,
feathered seas of red tranquility.

Encapsulate thou inner circle,
spinning through thou eternity to see,
a phantasmagoria of circus,
acts becoming of paperclip crease.

Of ringing bells fluting whistles toot,
fluffy teddy bears in which thou share,
cotton candy melting in thou tooth,
floating memories without a care.

Of bearded ladies sweet apple pie,
oh my dear, my Lady a bulls eye.
