Steven Louis Chapman

I wait on islands for your love,
trying to survive through,
the hurricanes that rain to,
my eyes closed followed,
by sighs that leave me low,
in my love.

I wait on sun-burnt,
toasted sand,
stuck on my toes.

If I swallow millenniums,
I shall befriend,
thou seasoned serpentine.

Shadows of thou become shown,
although,
I remain blurred,
from a means to an end.

If you marvel at which is sold?
The sound of seen offerings become true.
