"Blue Eyes"

Thoughts of her bring tenderness
They banish all that I have to fear
They bring warmth to frozen limbs
They make all I see become clear

Her eyes brighten with the rising sun
They gleam with a love never seen
With soft, blue tones they see the world
The images they portray are clean

She longs for a touch of forlorn passion
To take down her unwanted, protective walls
She wants someone to hold her close at night
When the cold wind of loneliness calls

I want to be that voice on the blowing wind
That gives heed to her questing endearment
I want to be the one to lay beside her
And tell her our fervor is heaven sent

I need the woman with those warm, blue eyes
To take away the pain I feel inside
I want that woman to love me like no other
And, forever, let our undying love bide.
