Indian Giver

I was searching for nothingness.
and I thought,
if I could just trick my mind
into climbing into the deep freeze
and remain there like frozen pizza,
then maybe I could realize:
 Nirvana
    Essential self
       True Nature
          Enlightenment
             Samadhi
But it was like trying to give New York
back to the Indians.
What do you do with all those skyscrapers
and bridges, the miles of concrete,
Coney Island and King Kong?
