We'll Be Okay

I want you to know, we’ll be okay.

When the assemblage of constellations
Begins to shatter into line segments,
Remember how we were perfectly aligned
For each other.

When the lustrous crystal moon
Begins to lose his shimmer,
Remember how we would
Move our little feet on the moon
To the rhythm of space.

When the unprecedented meteors
Come showering down onto our earth
Remember that you were
My whole world.

When the earth one day
Starts to lose its gravity,
Remember that you were
The one holding me down.

When the sturdy mountains
Starts to tremble,
Remember the gigantic mountains
That we have moved together.

When the violent lighting
Begins to strike,
Remember the spark
We have created together.

When the raging fire
Decides to set everything ablaze,
Creating impalpable ash,
Remember my unconditional love
For you.

When finally, the heavens
Begin to cave into our earth,
Remember that you were
My home.

When our former earth
Begins to turn into intangible dust,
Remember how it felt like
When the whole world was ours,
And we were the only people alive.

When everything we once knew,
Disappeared one day,
Remember that the only thing I ever knew
Was my love for you.

And then when the earth trembles and quakes
And tears us apart,
And the inevitable winds
Blow us apart,
Promise me,
You’ll remember me.

When fate, so apathetically
 steps in,
And forces us into a goodbye,
Remember all our promises,
Our plans for forever
Together.

If one day, little by little
You stop loving me,
Know that my heart
Only beat for you.

If suddenly,
You forget me,
Know that you were
The only thing I could ever remember.

When we both meet somebody brand new
Know that I will search for you
In them.
Know that I will only start to remember
The way that I loved you.

I know not
How or when or where
But I know,
I will find you again,
My dear,
And we will be okay.

I believe the constellations will light up in the night sky again,
I believe the moon will shine so ever brightly again,
I believe the meteors will not touch the earth for centuries again,
I believe the earth will find its gravity again,
I believe the mountains will start to tower up again,
I believe the lighting will not strike us again,
I believe the fire will one day be extinguished,
I believe the heavens will take their place again in the planetary prairies,
I believe the earth will reform from its dust,
I believe everything will be okay again.

Because
Like the sun,
No matter how far,
how astray the planets
Have wondered,
They will always revolve back.
You were my sun,
And I am your planet.
No matter how distant we have become,
We will always meet again
Because we were always in the same solar system.

I told you, we’ll be okay.

We’ll be okay because our souls are the same
We’ll be okay because you are my only one
We’ll be okay because the world was made for us
We’ll be okay because the heavens sing for us
We’ll be okay because we can defeat fate together

But most importantly,
We’ll be okay because I would wait a lifetime for you.
