Long White Coats Are Unisex (partially inspired by International Women's Day)

Last time I checked
Long white coats are unisex
So why is it our issue
If you’ve got a complex?

“You don’t look like a scientist.”
Oh don’t I? News to me
Maybe you should come over
Take a gander at my degree.

“You don’t look like a physicist.”
Oh don’t I? That’s strange
Maybe you’d like to pay for
The student loans I had to arrange

“You don’t look like a doctor.”
Didn’t realise I had to
Didn’t think paediatrician was an aesthetic
But you know all about that, don’t you?

“You don’t look like a chemist.”
What does a chemist look like, then?
I didn’t hear that my job had a dress code
Maybe we should start again.

“You don’t look like a biologist.”
So? What’s your point?
I just happen to not be a man
So sorry to disappoint.

Oh, my apologies.
