Freedom

Freedom
I feel the breeze on my hot skin
And feel that I could float with the wind
My freedom is now
My freedom starts here
Standing in the wind with my head clear

I run and dance
I sing and prance
Through the lovely fields
Where the flowers grow
Where I love to go
When I’m feeling all alone

I splash in a creek
And my wet feet
Seem to fly with the motions
Of unheard emotions
And feelings that refuse to be heard

I fall into the grass
And sigh
For at last
I feel free
In this world
Of glee
