Lilli Janzen 1946 (Herten)

You know me from another time,
You read my words and they would rhyme.
You published poems that I had done
And I do thank you everyone.

I wish to come back to your fold
Although I am quite often told
That at my age this isn't me
For what's the point of poetry?

Well that's exactly to the point,
Since we can seem quite out of joint
When we mix up our well-known words
And no one gets it, except our birds.
