Doing Time

Brian Wood 1972 (CA)

Doing Time is the hardest thing,   Waiting for that phone to ring,.  Not knowing where your love has gone,.  Not knowing if there's something wrong,.  In your gut there twists an ache,.  Try to sleep but you're stuck awake,.  If they only knew just how you felt,.  Their heart would break from the guilt,. The cold hard truth is that they don't care,.  To sit themselves in your chair,.  They are happy in their other life,.  That you aren't part of, wrong or right.
