Hiding

Kimberly palmer 1986 (Saskatoon)

Hiding even from myself,
not wanting to hear that
"within"person tell me
what tomorrow
brings

Falling deeper in thoughts
that I push away
wanting soul silence
that doesn't
Want to stay

Chants echoing in my
mind as I try to capture
there rhythm to chase
away my
thoughts

Why is a blank mind so
impossible to find
when one needs to
find  this coma state of
mind

Sleep even fights within
the endless videos of
life's reruns as dreams
try to find ones
peace

Does a mind in a coma
continue to fight it's
Self in a need to
survive

In death does the soul
speak in hushed sounds
in it's unknown travel
or silent till it reaches
Destiny??
