Tears

They are not diamonds on the market to be sold
They are so precious, that their price is seldom told

From the depth of the soul, like a suppressed dream
No longer able to hold, trickling like a continuous stream

They are free to drift without shame
When there is no one to embrace or blame

Given the freedom to flow without measure
Under the forces of natures pleasure

At times they can be so brief
That they do not get a chance to grief

Sometimes from sorrow and pain
Their tragic story usually ends in vain

Suddenly falling like an unexpected rain storm
Stopping like the calm of the evening waves that form

If not given the free will to flow
They wipe away the smiles meant to glow

It's just another lesson of life
Which you can't carve and throw away with a knife
