Unsung Song

I wrote a song that remains unsung
And to this very hour that is so.
In my life I have left many things undone
For the most part I just let it go.

Let none know my shame or laziness
Whereby I may hide in a deep hole.
Let none discover me there in my darkness
Whereby I fall further from mine role.

By narrow margins I was getting by
Only just in my procrastination.
Never one for impromptu old school comply
I relied mainly on some incitation.

It doesn't matter that I excluded life
When all that's been I have seen.
Catch up is no game you can tell your wife
For I am the master of every queen!

Tho' in reality a woman appreciates
She can tame me just by her smile.
I beg none to irritate the stance and debates
I take and make on my stale lifestyle.

I ask for nothing, not a single thing
Because I already have all I need.
Now how do you suppose that is reading
When my life is quite dead indeed?

My unsung song tells it all like it was
And substantially how it still is.
But you'll never hear the words or flaws
While I breathe in my neurosis.

To raise my mind higher is my focus
If I can finally achieve a daily goal;
Not made of dishonour but a faithful opus
Giving it strength as lyrically whole.

When I was a young lad I used to go hunting whales with my grandfather. Inspiration and imagination comes from that experience, well actually it's all from my imagination. more…
