Suicide

Sherri L. Smith 1966 (Alexandria , VA)

Suicide...
A negative message implied
When we recklessly decide
To run and hide

Suicide...
When we neglect our pride
So deep inside
Many tears we cried

Suicide...
When our hope has died
Our abilities were not applied
Consequently, our dreams were set aside

Suicide...
A turbulent tide
The ocean is too wide
To reach the other side

Suicide...
This death wish ride
Our spirituality we denied
An into the bottomless pit we slide

Suicide...
If in our Most High we confide
And in His Word we confide
Eternally, in His Kingdom we'll reside!
